George Lee celebrates PRIDE Day

As we approach the end of the school year we do so with much excitement and reason to celebrate what has been another great year at George Lee School. As always, we want you to be in the know about things going on, in and around our Grizzlee community.

Pride is about celebrating the rights, achievements, and contributions of those from the LGBTQ2S+ community. Our Division endorses Pride activities because of our shared value of we belong and to build safe and inclusive environments for all of our students and staff.  Regina Public Schools will be celebrating Pride Day on Friday, June 7, 2024.

We recognize Pride Day:

  • To celebrate the self-affirmation, dignity, equality and increased visibility of people who are gender and/or sexually diverse.
  • To share and learn about the experiences, contributions, and achievements of the GSD community.
  • To demonstrate our Shared Values and let all students and staff know that they belong and that they are respected, protected and included.

Teachers will connect with families if they are doing any events beyond this.  Our focus, as always, is to teach curricular outcomes.
