The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation announced today that “On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, there will be a provincewide strike by all members of the STF. All Federation members will withdraw all professional and voluntary services for the entire day. STF members will not report to nor enter their place of work.”
Regina Public Schools teachers, principals and vice-principals, consultants and other positions are
members of the STF and therefore will not be in schools on that day. As a result, all schools will be
closed for students on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. In addition, all extra-curricular activities and schoolage care programs (before and after school programs) will be cancelled.
Please note that Monday, January 15, 2024 is a previously scheduled Professional Development Day (for elementary students), which means that there is no school for students.
